My name is Ola Lanko. I am an artist with background in sociology, psychology and education. In the past decade I have been building a continuous ever-changing practice evoking change in established belief systems through confrontation, questioning, dialogue and provocation. I evoke a disruptive change by means of imagination and critical thinking.

 

My practice has a transdisciplinary nature where I apply an intuitive approach to systematic thinking. I am building complex multifaceted projects that are organised in layered structures and aesthetic manifestations. ​Alongside my research and process based artistic practice I teach and mentor at Royal Academy of Art in the Hague, developing my methodology to make the complexity of the world more enjoyable.
